The 2014 Utah Truck Driving Championship will be held Friday & Saturday, June 6-7, 2014 at the Utah State FairPark.  Registration will be Friday, June 7th from   4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  This outstanding annual event is again sponsored and conducted by the Utah Safety Management Council.  Drivers will compete in written test, pre- trip inspections and a 6-problem driving course in the following categories: NO INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD. 
  • Straight Truck
  • 3- Axle Semi Trailer
  • 4- Axle Semi Trailer
  • 5-Axle Semi Trailer Van
  • 5-Axle Semi Trailer Tank
  • 5-Axle Semi Trailer Flatbed
  • 5-Axle Sleeper Berth
  • Twin Trailers
  • Step Van
The Champion, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category will be recognized, along with their companies at the UTA Annual Safety Awards Banquet on September 19, 2014, at Little America Hotel.  The champion in each category will compete at the 2014 National Truck Driving Championships to be held in Pittsburgh, PA – August 12-16, 2014
 We appreciate the interest and support for the UtahState Truck Driving Championships in past years.  This event promises to be bigger and better this year, with many more drivers and companies participating.  Don’t miss this!  Plan now to participate and register soon.  Contact Larry Luke at C.R. UTA Annual Management Conference and Trucking Expo

The 2014 Utah Trucking Association Management Conference and Trucking Expo was attended by over 500 people, featured 53 booths, 13 brand new tractors, 8 trailers and some great networking opportunities. We are looking forward to next year’s convention which will be held May 6-8, 2015 at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George, Utah. This sure to be a great event with excellent vendors, informational educational sessions, and a multiple occasions to rub shoulders with others working in the trucking industry. Vendors will feature various products, equipment and services to help you work smart and stay ahead of the game. This event gets bigger every year and we are excited for the cultivating opportunities this will bring to everyone in attendance. The Utah Trucking Association has scheduled the Annual Driver Awards Banquet for Friday, September 12 at the beautiful Little America Hotel. There will be a Opening Social at 6:30 pm with dinner at 7:00 pm. We will have the privilege of honoring 24-professional drivers along with 30-Truck Driving Championship Winners as well  as Safety Supervisor of the Year, Trooper of the Year and Driver of the Year. The TruckPAC motorcycle road rally is on Saturday, Sept. 20th and will be kicking off in Salt Lake and ending at Bear Lake- with raspberry shakes of course.
The road rally is one of the main sources of income for the Utah TruckPAC; a fund providing means to further the associations lobbying efforts with the legislature both here in the state and federally. We also use this money to support legislative candidates who are business friendly and will help improve the transportation infrastructure. We encourage you to mix business with pleasure and get involved today! Starting Address and Route: We will leave from the UTA building (4181 W. 2100 S., Salt Lake City) and head to the Harley-Davidson in Logan.  From there we will go to Preston, ID and then on to Mink Creek.  After Mink Creek we will head to Bear Lake and have a catered lunch in Garden City (raspberry shakes included).  Roughly 5 hours total.

Registration Includes:  Breakfast, lunch & your TruckPAC donation.

8:00 am – Meet at the UTA Building for sign in. Please be registered beforehand. Breakfast will be served.
8:30 am – Kick stands up and leave for Cache Valley

Utah Trucking Association Offers All Regulatory Supplies

UTA has, in stock, the most used regulatory supplies for trucking. UTA members receive discounts on supplies. Supplies include driver medical forms, log books, inspection books, placards, federal guidelines, training videos and other items.

The links provided on this page will give you a listing of products, pricing, and an order form. Just print and mail or fax the completed form. Driver Medical Forms are offered in bulk and with discounts.

Training Library

  • On Demand Videos: To view all the great titles JJ Keller has to offer for on demand training, click the link here.  Once you let us know which video you would like, we immediately send you a link to that video which will be active for 30 days. This video can be viewed as many times and by as many people as you would like and is $35 to rent.
  • Interactive Training Videos: These online trainings are on an individual basis and allow the administrator to set a bar for each person viewing the video as to what scores they must receive on the various quizzes and assignments throughout the training. The administrator can also see whether or not the driver took the training on time or if they still need to take it. This also provides a paper trail if you need to prove to government authorities that you have taken trainings on the various subjects. The interactive trainings are priced on a point system, $2 for every 1 point. The points are listed next to each video title.
